At a loss for solutions, in a society that still fails to take assault and sexual abuse seriously, many of the models experiencing this abuse have begun sharing names and information through word of mouth in an attempt to keep others safe.
Those who speak out have faced retraumatization from the community debating the validity of their claims and turning the focus from the abuse they’ve experienced to the topic of “cancel culture”.
